Blonde Brickle Brownies

  • 1/13 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • "2 eggs, room temp"
  • 1/2 c EACH sugar and brown sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/4 t almond extract
  • "1 pkg. (6 oz) Bits O' Brickle, divided"
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/3 c margarine (melted)

"Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8"" square pan. "

"Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Set aside. Beat eggs well, gradually adding both sugars. Beat until thick and creamy. Add melted margarine and both extracts. Gently stir in flour mixture until moist. Fold in 2/3 c Bits O' Brickle and nuts. Pour into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle remaining Bits O' Brickle over top. Cool completely before cutting. Makes 16 generous brownies."
