(I came up with this recipe after living in Greece.)
- 1 rump roast
- 2 t salt
- 1/4 t pepper
- 1 c water
- "tomato, sliced"
- "lettuce, shredded"
- sour cream
- "onion, chopped"
- pita bread
"Brown pot roast in 3 T oil. Season with salt & pepper. Add 1 c water to Dutch
oven and simmer, covered for 2 1/2 - 3 hours, adding water, if needed. Let roast
stand 15 minutes before slicing. Place slices of roast beef in warmed pita bread.
Top with onion, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream."
